Customer Success
operations.

Customer Success needs sound operations behind it. My experience brings together Gainsight administration, Salesforce integration and Oracle financial data.

Connecting these systems means thinking beyond individual tools: how customer information fits together, how teams use it, and what needs to be reliable for day-to-day decisions.

Discuss an Opportunity

The processes behind the platform.

Business Analysis

My experience includes Business Analysis: understanding stakeholder needs, clarifying requirements and connecting business objectives with practical delivery priorities.

I use that perspective to establish the problem being addressed, identify dependencies and make expectations clear before agreeing the next steps.

Pre-sales and post-sales

My experience spans pre-sales and post-sales, connecting early discovery and customer expectations with implementation, adoption and ongoing value.

The priority is continuity: carrying the customer’s objectives and agreed requirements through the handover, then using them to guide success planning, engagement and renewal discussions.

Customer Success processes

My operational focus includes the processes that guide a customer through onboarding, ongoing engagement and renewal. Clear ownership, handovers and next steps help the team deliver a consistent experience.

KPIs and customer feedback

KPIs give the team a way to understand progress, identify risk and decide where to focus. The useful measures connect customer goals with the work the team can act on.

Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) add the customer’s perspective. Scores are a starting point: the comments, context and follow-up matter when turning feedback into action.

Return on investment (ROI)

Customer Success needs a clear connection between the customer’s investment and the value they receive. My approach is to agree the intended outcomes, establish a baseline and identify meaningful measures of progress.

ROI discussions should consider relevant costs and evidenced benefits, distinguish realised value from projections, and make assumptions explicit. That creates a stronger basis for business reviews, renewal planning and decisions about the next phase of the relationship.

Runbooks

Documented runbooks turn recurring situations into clear actions. They set out the trigger, responsible owner, steps to take and the point at which to involve someone else, so delivery does not depend on individual memory.

Critical escalation paths

Critical issues need a clear route to the right people. Defined escalation paths establish severity, ownership, communication responsibilities and the next decision point.

The focus is coordinated action: keeping the customer informed, maintaining an accountable owner and capturing what needs to change after the issue is resolved.

Renewal plays

Renewal plays bring customer goals, engagement, feedback and commercial context into a planned sequence of actions. They make responsibilities and timing clear, with a route for addressing risk before the renewal conversation.

The aim is a well-prepared discussion about the value the customer has received and what they need next.

Hands-on platform experience.

Azure, AWS, Google Cloud and Identity Management

My experience includes Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud and Identity Management, alongside the platforms used to run customer success operations.

This provides a foundation for understanding cloud environments, discussing access requirements and working with technical stakeholders.

Gainsight administration

I have experience as a Gainsight Administrator, working with the platform that supports customer success operations.

The operational focus is a system that reflects how the customer success team works, with information people can understand and use.

Salesforce integration

My experience includes integrating Gainsight with Salesforce, connecting the customer success environment with CRM information.

That connection matters because customer success and commercial teams need a consistent understanding of the customer relationship.

Oracle financial data

I also have experience integrating Oracle financial data with Gainsight, bringing financial context into the customer success picture.

Customer engagement and financial information tell different parts of the same story. Considering them together supports a more informed view of an account.

Governance and AI in the enterprise.

Corporate data governance

I understand the importance of clear data ownership, appropriate access, consistent definitions and reliable information in a corporate environment. Governance provides the accountability around how data is collected, shared and used.

My experience with Azure, AWS, Identity Management and connected business systems informs that perspective. In customer success, it means considering who should see customer and financial information, how it moves between platforms and who is responsible for its quality.

I see governance as a shared responsibility: customer success needs to work within the organisation’s policies and involve data owners, security, privacy and technical teams in decisions that affect customer information.

Artificial intelligence in the corporate environment

My hands-on application development with ChatGPT/Codex, Zed, LM Studio and Antigravity gives me a practical perspective on AI. In a corporate setting, I consider that technology alongside business purpose, information sensitivity and operational accountability.

The questions extend beyond what a tool can produce: which tools are approved, what data they may use, how outputs are reviewed and who remains responsible for a decision. Human review, appropriate access and clear boundaries matter when AI supports customer-facing work.

For customer success, my focus is on purposeful use: evaluating where AI can assist preparation, analysis or routine work, while protecting confidential information and maintaining the quality of customer communication.

An operational perspective.

A connected technology stack is useful when it helps people do their work. My focus is on the relationship between systems, the quality of the information they share, and the decisions the customer success team needs to make.

Customer context
Bring the relationship and its commercial context into the same conversation.
Practical workflows
Keep the team’s day-to-day work central to decisions about the technology.
Usable information
Make clarity and consistency a priority when connecting data between systems.
