With your acceptance, Google Analytics 4 records page views and clicks on LinkedIn, GitHub and Credly links to help me understand how visitors use this website. The integration sends page paths and a destination category, rather than full outbound URLs. Custom page-view events omit query strings and fragments. Google also receives technical information when your browser connects to its services.

Analytics does not load before acceptance or after rejection on a fresh page load. Advertising signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in this integration. I do not use this integration for advertising.

Your choice

Accept and Reject are equally available. A preference is stored in your browser’s local storage for up to 180 days so the site can remember your decision. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies, including names beginning with _ga, after acceptance. Their lifetime depends on the Analytics configuration.

Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawing acceptance clears accessible Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the loaded tracker. Browser or privacy tools may also block analytics.

Google and data handling

Google processes analytics information using its infrastructure, which may involve processing outside the UK. Read Google’s privacy policy and Google Analytics’ data safeguards. Analytics retention and account access are managed in the Google Analytics property.

Hosting and external websites

Hostinger hosts this website and may process technical request information to deliver and secure it. LinkedIn, GitHub, Credly and linked technology providers operate their own sites and privacy practices. Clicking an external link takes you to that provider.

Your information

You may contact me about access, correction, deletion or objection to processing of your personal information. You can also raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office. This site does not ask you to submit personal information through a contact form.
